Steps for Volunteer Sign-Up

  1. Click on the “Sign up to Volunteer” button below

  2. This will take you off of our page and over to Galaxy Digital

  3. Look toward the top right of your screen for the grey “Sign Up” button

    • For cell phones click on the right-side menu

  4. Complete the form to create a user profile

  5. You will receive an email from Community Storehouse.  

  6. Log in to Galaxy Digital to search for volunteer opportunities at Community Storehouse and sign up!

  7. For those over 17 and wanting to volunteer in the Education Center a background check is required. First ,you must sign up for the opportunity. Then you will receive an email from CIAResearch.com with the subject line Background Check E-Consent. Once you provide your consent, a separate email will follow with instructions to complete your background check. Please check your inbox and spam or junk folder for these emails. ​

  8. Once approved, you will receive an email from Galaxy Digital notifying you that you are clear to volunteer!  YAY!

"I was raised in a church community where "Love your neighbor as yourself" was something we lived, not just read. And we were taught that loving means acting to meet the person's need, not just being aware of it. When I moved to Keller I found the Community Storehouse, a place that acts to meet the needs of our neighbors.  For the last 12 years, I have served in many ways. My favorite event is Christmas House because of the interaction with the clients. Hearing their stories and how they appreciate being able to give their children Christmas gifts, always fills me with the holiday spirit. I also work on many of the events that raise money for the programs we have and have led the Ladies of Hope, our women's group, for several years. These activities have introduced me to many friends who share the desire to give back to the community. I am so thankful that I found this organization many years ago and have been able to serve in so many ways."

What Our Volunteers are Saying

Volunteer

ALL volunteers are required to apply and be verified through our process, which may include a background check.

 

Please set up a profile, watch for confirmation emails (could go to junk mail), and set to receive our communications from Galaxy Digital and Community Storehouse.
 

Once that is complete, you may sign up for service opportunities – please read the qualifications for each, as some have age restrictions.

A link from CIAResearch.com will be sent directly to each volunteer who is required to complete a background check. This is a legitimate background screening provider used by Community Storehouse. Please respond as quickly as possible to ensure you can complete the process and sign up for your volunteer opportunity in a timely manner.

Please give this full process 3-5 days and watch to receive an email with full verification – THEN you can sign up for any opportunities on our site!

Volunteer Opportunities

We have multiple volunteer opportunities for each of our programs with daily, weekly and seasonal hours.

After School Math
Tutoring Program

Tutoring provides low-income children, from 2nd - 4th grade, the opportunity to receive one-on-one high intensity math tutoring.

 

Tutoring is Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday

At Home Volunteering
 

Filling Snack Packs and Hygiene Packs to help children with health and wellness, and food inadequacies.

 

**No background check required for this opportunity.
 

Front Desk Reception

Answering phones, data entry, filing, and client interaction.

Monday - Thursday
9am - 4:30pm


Friday
9am - 12pm

Sorting and sizing clothes, sorting bedding, furniture pick up, etc. Must be able to lift 50-70lbs for furniture pick up.

Tuesday - Saturday
9am - 4pm
