Meet the Executive Leadership Team

In July of 2022, Katie accepted the role as Director of Fund Development & Grant Management at CCS. Katie is looking to develop a bountiful donor cultivation program that maximizes our current and future donor and grant funding relationships.
 

Prior to working at Community Storehouse, Katie worked with Tarrant Area Food Bank for five years, where she managed federally funded children’s food programs, sat on the employee engagement committee, and was a founding member of the Tarrant Area Food Bank Toastmaster’s Club. She has also worked in various roles, including management and change consultant for a major US bank for 8 years.  She is a graduate from Texas State University with a Bachelors of Arts in Communications, where she served as Vice President for Delta Gamma Sorority.

In March of 2021, Katie was hired to serve as the Volunteer Coordinator for Christian Community Storehouse. Her role was to create a robust, streamlined, volunteer program using updated technology. Using Galaxy Digital, Community Storehouse now has an updated database of over 1,700 volunteers ranging from corporations, churches, philanthropic organizations and schools.

Jenna Halverson - Director of Finance and Human Resources

On the 8th of November 2022, Jenna Halverson accepted the Director of Finance position with Community Storehouse.


Jenna has over 15 years of experience in accounting and finance management in both the Fort Worth and Seattle areas.  She became a permanent Texas resident in 2014 and brings experience in a broad range of industries, including public accounting and nonprofit.  She received her Bachelor's in Accounting in 2016 and has worked for various clients and industries during her years with a local CPA firm. Jenna’s personal interests include her horses, her dog, softball, and bowling.

Jeffrey Johnston Director of Operations/Resale

Jeffrey Johnston aligned with the Community Storehouse as the Director of Operations/Resale effective October 10, 2022. He brings over 24 years experience in warehousing and distribution of retail goods, with a background of Lean Six Sigma and leadership development. Jeff brings knowledge to the Community Storehouse ReSale Operations that he has gained while delivering his services to Walmart, Kohl's, Lbrands, Saks 5th Ave, and CATO to name a few of the companies. Receiving, 

inventorying, and delivering goods to the customers, has been his primary responsibility while educating associates on customer service. He has worked to educate leaders and subordinates on safety enhancements, process improvements and waste reduction at these companies:

  • OnTrack Staffing - Walmart eCommerce Facility

  • Performance Team - A Maersk Company

  • Cambium Learning Group - Formerly Voyager Sopris Learning

  • UTi Integrated Logistics - Walmart Import Facility

Johnston gained his Bachelor of Science in Engineering Technology/Manufacturing at Villanova University and at Texas A&M University Class of '97.  He has also served at Save Our Streets Ministries and Still Creek Boys Ranch in Bryan, TX.  Jeff's heart is to inspire others to improve their potential and he believes he has found an avenue to do so here.
