Meet the Executive Leadership Team

Ken Goodgames - Chief Executive Officer

Ken Goodgames was named Chief Executive Officer effective February 14, 2022. Ken brings extensive nonprofit leadership experience and an authentic, collaborative approach to facilitate innovation and cultural transformation within an organization. Known in the nonprofit industry as a visionary leader, Ken will work closely with staff, volunteers and the Community Storehouse board to ensure the organization can continue to adapt to serve low-income children in northeast Tarrant County.

Prior to joining Community Storehouse, Goodgames founded the Grassroots Data Institute specializing in nonprofit consulting to leverage data and analytics to improve overall performance outcomes. Grassroots Data Institute evolved from his role as President & CEO of the Community Council in Dallas, a social services agency that focuses on helping families move from surviving to thriving. He was the driving force in earning the Community Services Block Grant focused on poverty alleviation. Goodgames is the visionary CEO behind the re-branding and organizational
turn-around of Consumer Credit Counseling Services of Greater Dallas, now known as Transformance, Inc. Additionally, his experience includes roles of Vice President Product Development at American Red Cross and Vice President Sales and Operations of American Heart Association. He graduated from Dallas Baptist University with a BA in Business Administration.

Kesha Braggs - Chief of Staff

Early May 2022, Kesha Braggs accepted our new Chief of Staff position.

Kesha has over 20 years of experience in human resource management and extensive experience in nonprofit and business organizations. Ms. Braggs has most recently served as the Director of Human Resources for an HR Consulting firm in far north Plano. Her responsibilities included

overseeing HR and policy compliance, recruitment, employee relations, grant writing, and onboarding.

Her clients included:

  • A non-profit community outreach organization.

  • An IT firm.

  • An in-home healthcare company.

Kesha has also served in a Senior Level HR role for Amazon and the City of Dallas and was CEO of her staffing firm. She has worked on numerous HR consulting contracts involving startups, serving the private and public sectors. Kesha also co-founded a non-profit 501C3 community church organization, helping at-risk youth and families. Kesha has earned a Master’s in Business Administration, concentrating in Operations Management and Human Capital from the University of Phoenix. Ms. Braggs has also obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Communications with an emphasis in Human Resources Management at the University of Texas at Arlington. She is currently a senior-level certified human resources professional/practitioner through the International Public Management Association (IPMA) since 2007, and she is a current member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM).

In July of 2022, Katie accepted the role as Director of Fund Development & Grant Management at CCS.  Katie is looking to develop a bountiful donor cultivation program that maximizes our current and future donor and grant funding relationships.

Prior to working at Community Storehouse, Katie worked with Tarrant Area Food Bank for five years, where she managed federally funded children’s food programs, sat on the employee engagement committee, and was a founding member of the Tarrant Area Food Bank Toastmaster’s Club.  She has also worked in various roles, including management and change consultant for a major US bank for 8 years.  She is a graduate from Texas State University with a Bachelors of Arts in Communications, where she served as Vice President for Delta Gamma Sorority.

In March of 2021, Katie was hired to serve as the Volunteer Coordinator for Christian Community Storehouse.  Her role was to create a robust, streamlined, volunteer program using updated technology.  Using Galaxy Digital, Community Storehouse now has an updated database of over 1,700 volunteers ranging from corporations, churches, philanthropic organizations and schools.

Katie Johnston - Director of Fund Development & Grant Management

Jeffrey Johnston Director of Operations/Resale

Jeffrey Johnston aligned with the Community Storehouse as the Director of Operations/Resale effective October 10, 2022. He brings over 24 years experience in warehousing and distribution of retail goods, with a background of Lean Six Sigma and leadership development. Jeff brings knowledge to the Community Storehouse ReSale Operations that he has gained while delivering his services to Walmart, Kohl's, Lbrands, Saks 5th Ave, and CATO to name a few of the companies. Receiving, 

inventorying, and delivering goods to the customers, has been his primary responsibility while educating associates on customer service. He has worked to educate leaders and subordinates on safety enhancements, process improvements and waste reduction at these companies:

  • OnTrack Staffing - Walmart eCommerce Facility

  • Performance Team - A Maersk Company

  • Cambium Learning Group - Formerly Voyager Sopris Learning

  • UTi Integrated Logistics - Walmart Import Facility

Johnston gained his Bachelor of Science in Engineering Technology/Manufacturing at Villanova University and at Texas A&M University Class of '97.  He has also served at Save Our Streets Ministries and Still Creek Boys Ranch in Bryan, TX.  Jeff's heart is to inspire others to improve their potential and he believes he has found an avenue to do so here.
