Helping Children Stay in School. Right Here. Right Now.
Our Educational programs are strategically designed to address unmet, identified needs for the children within our community. Studies show that the education stage of a child's life is crucial to their long-term success and can even break the cycle of generational poverty. Knowledge is power, and we're working to help children have all the power they can through education.

AFTER SCHOOL TUTORING
The After School Tutoring Program serves students in grades 1-6 who qualify based on economic status and academic need. Students attend tutoring for one hour per week with students of the same or adjacent grade level. Students are assessed in reading and mathematics at strategic times during the school year to gauge progress and guide instruction. During weekly tutoring sessions, students are engaged in reading activities to build fluency and comprehension skills and math activities focused on number sense and problem-solving skills. Students are provided with a snack/drink at the start of tutoring and leave with a snack pack filled with snacks for the week and can take a book home to continue at home practice.
