Hunger Doesn’t Take A Break
For many of low-income children, free school breakfasts and lunches are the primary source of nutrition. During school breaks, these children are at risk of going hungry. Through the Supplemental Feeding Program, the Community Storehouse is able to help feed children that know all too well that hunger doesn’t take a break. We cannot do it without you. Please consider organizing a drive to fight childhood food insecurity right here in our community.
Listed below are the items that we will need donated to fight hunger this Break:
Breakfast – cereal granola, granola bars, pop tarts
Lunch – PB&J, canned fruit, canned pasta, canned tuna/chicken, heat and serve meals like ravioli & soups
Dinner – hamburger/tuna helpers, mac & cheese, canned pasta, rice, dry pinto beans, canned vegetables, Ramen Noodles
Snack Attack – collect healthy snacks like raisins, trail mix, fruit cup or granola bars
100% Fruit Juices
Nonfood items such as toothpaste, shampoo, laundry detergent, disinfectant wipes and other basic necessities
Please bring donations to Community Storehouse Monday-Saturday from 9am-5pm.
