Application Process
Thank you for considering volunteering with us!
You are so close to helping the children of our community stay in school. Here are your next steps:
- Review the Volunteer Handbook
- Complete the Volunteer Application
- Attend a one-hour Volunteer Orientation Session
At the orientation, you’ll learn about all the roles you can take in our resale operations, our Food Pantry, our events, and our children’s programs during the summer.
Children age 10 – 13 may volunteer with their parent, and children age 14 and up may volunteer on their own. Children also are required to complete the entire application process.
People who would like to volunteer in a group must first contact our Volunteer Coordinator at 817-431-3340 or by email.
Volunteer Orientations are held at Hope’s Closet Resale Megastore. Find out when our next Volunteer Orientation will be held. Please bring your completed application with you to orientation.
If you have attended orientation and are ready to volunteer, please click the link below. You will need an email address and must enter it twice, then you will be redirected to a calendar where you can view opportunities on the date of your choosing at our Facilities.

Youth volunteers participate in supervised service learning.
Youth volunteers with Community Storehouse can gain valuable service-learning experience which develops leadership and transferable work skills. Working in a safe, supervised environment, they can also gain service hours toward college course requirements, High School Green Cord Recognition (100 hours of service annually), Eagle Scout Award project completion, National Honor Society requirements, Student Council requirements and more.
Court-Required Community Service
Volunteering with Community Storehouse can fulfill community-service requirements mandated by teen or adult courts for minor traffic and curfew violations only. Our policies do not allow us to fulfill community-service requirements for other offenses. Prior approval from the Volunteer Coordinator is required.
