July 2008
- Summer Lunch Program (July 3, 10, 17, 24, & 31, 2008) - Donate child friendly food. Volunteers are needed from 6 – 8 pm to pass out food and the Roanoke Location.
- Help for Today…Hope for Tomorrow Auction Committee – Help us collect auction items for our annual fundraiser to be held in February.
August 2008
- School Supply/Shoes Distribution (Aug. 16, 2008, 9am – 1pm) – 20 volunteers are needed to help hand out school supplies.
- Summer Lunch Program (August 7, 14, & 21, 2008) - Donate child friendly food. Volunteers needed from 6 – 8 pm to pass out food and the Roanoke Location.
- Speedway Children's Charities* - (August 26, 2008) – Tony Stewart “Smoke Show.”
September 2008
- Run in the Dark Packet Pickup – (September 18 & 19, 2008, 10am – 7pm) Volunteers are needed to register participants.
- Run in the Dark – (Sept. 20, 2008) Annual 1-mile fun run and 5K run in Keller. Volunteers are needed to help with set-up, working during the event, and clean-up.
- Speedway Children's Charities* (Sept. 20, 2008) - Laps for Charity
October 2008
- Address/Stamp Christmas Cards - Volunteers are needed to help us stuff, address, and stamp our Christmas cards.
- Speedway Children's Charities* (Oct. 30, 2008) – Beretta Celebrity Clay Shoot
November 2008
- Speedway Children's Charities* (Nov 1, 2008) – Live NASCAR Memorabilia Auction
- Thanksgiving Food Distribution (Nov. 18 – 25, 2008, 3pm – 6 pm) Join us by volunteering to hand out pre-boxed Thanksgiving dinner to clients.
- Christmas Toy Drive – Organize a toy drive or donate new toys to the Community Storehouse for Holiday House.
December 2008
- Holiday House (Dec. 2 – 23, 2008) – Every year we transform our Roanoke location into a “Toy Store” so that our clients can shop for their children. Toys are needed prior to the opening of Holiday House. We also need set-up volunteers to help get Holiday House ready to open. Toy store volunteers needed to work 6pm – 8pm evening hours during the first three weeks of December.
January 2009
- Snow Day Coat Drive – New coats, mittens, & hats are needed.
- Address/Stamp Dinner Invitations - Volunteers are needed to help with stuffing, addressing, and stamping invitations to our annual dinner.
February 2009
- Help for Today…Hope for Tomorrow Dinner & Auction (February 27, 2009) – Volunteer are needed for planning, set-up, preparations, clean up. Purchase tickets and attend.
March 2009
- Easter/Spring Celebration – Traditional Easter dinner items are needed including hams. Volunteers are needed to hand out food baskets for our client families.
April 2009
- Speedway Children's Charities* – Race Weekend TBD
- Art in the Square – Southlake – Volunteer on behalf of the Community Storehouse
- Family Fun Day – Volunteers are needed to help create a fun packed day of activities for some of our client families.
May 2009
- Summer Lunch Program – Your group can organize a food drive and/or donate child friendly food items to the Community Storehouse for use in the Summer Lunch Program. Volunteers are also needed for weekly food distribution.
June 2009
