STATISTICS

  • Community Storehouse Primary Service Area encompasses 309 square miles and over 6,000 children.
  • 1 out of 7 children in Keller ISD and 1 of 5 children in Northwest ISD will not have breakfast and lunch this summer? We estimate serving almost 700 of those children.
  • In 2000 we were assisting 45 families a month with food, clothing, and financial assistance. Today we help over 200 families with children each month.
  • Community Storehouse was awarded “Organization of the Year” by Speedway Children’s Charities for 2007.
  • School supplies and shoes were provided for 472 children in 2006.
  • Our Lending Library was established at our Client Services facility in Roanoke to improve literacy. It helps in early childhood development and also supports the required reading programs in our schools.
  • 80% of staffing is provided by dedicated volunteers
  • Numerous Community Storehouse Volunteers have been Honored

          1. Rose Tolfa was chosen as the Star-Telegram’s Star-Volunteer

          2. George Harlan was named KRLD Community Hero

          3. Olivia Pace was awarded Outstanding Volunteer by Volunteer Center of North Texas

          4. Nicole Castro received First Lady’s Rising Star Award of Texas for 2008

          5. Kelley Pledger was selected as the Community Motivator for 2008 by the Texas Governor’s Blue Ribbon Panel
