SPECIAL Projects
Special Programs
Typically volunteers that help with special programs serve on a one time basis. Special program volunteers are not required to go through orientation.
Special programs include:
- Help for Today, Hope for Tomorrow Dinner and Auction on February 27, 2009
- Spring Easter Baskets and Easter Dinner Boxes
- Summer Breakfast and Lunch Distribution in June, July and August
- School Supply Distribution in August
- Run in the Dark 5K and 1-mile Fun Run on September 20, 2008
- Thanksgiving Dinner Food Boxes in November
- Holiday House “Toy Store” in December
- Client Events in the Spring and Fall
Community Storehouse also has projects around our facilities where we could use help.
Landscaping Projects include lawn care and landscaping at our Roanoke and Keller Hicks locations year round.
Kitchen Project – we are in need of donated cabinets, countertops and installation for our kitchen area at Keller-Hicks. This area serves over 130 volunteers monthly.
